The Plot

The story of Angel Eyes starts with our friend Jennifer Lopez playing the big city cop. We then meet a man named Catch who goes around his community doing favours for people like an angel send down to earth. He turns off headlights, takes keys out of doors for neighbours and gets groceries for the elderly. One day as Sharon (J Lo) is chasing a man who just shot several police officers in a coffee shop. She ends up at the opposite end of the gun. Catch comes at the last minute and saves her life. Her and Catch begin dating and the rest of the movie has Sharon trying to help Catch discover his true past which he has concealed from her and himself. The story unfolds as Sharon pushes Catch more and more to try to remember his past.

Review

I think this movie was basically created for the sole purpose of helping Jennifer Lopez to start her acting career. The plot was horrible, if there even was one, the twist was not done well in my opinion, I thought that the flashbacks gave away the entire thing, and if you had any common sense you could grasp what the end twist was in the first few seconds of the movie. If that's not enough, a few more flashbacks and you should be pretty secure with the right ending. There were positive things about the movie also, there were good scenes where Catch did good deeds for his community. I thought that Catch's role was played very well but Jennifer Lopez didn't do as well in my opinion, although she tried. Overall I wouldn't recommend the movie, but if you're bored one night, and I mean really bored it's not bad idea to pop it in, while you're doing something else.
