This is Richard Gere, he plays the big city reporter fired for false information on his last minute article about Maggie Carpentar. His wife's husband gives him the chance to get his job back by proving that although his facts weren't straight his theory was right. So Ike Graham sets off to Hale to find out the true story on Maggie and may even a little bit more.
