This is Maggie's third "husband to be": George, played by Reg Rogers. This "husband to be" had more of a job in the movie than the others, because he was the one who gave Ike the story on Maggie to begin with. Ike was in a bar talking to a woman who blew him off when George began telling him of the girl form his home town. After Ike investigates the story further he returns to question George who refuses to answer his questions and be insulted in Ike's column.
