Plot
What Women want is a movie about one very chauvinistic man finding out what women really want. When hot shot advertising executive Nick Marshall (Mel Gibson) experiences a flute accident which enables him to hear women's thoughts he freaks out. At first he is nothing but scared and dearly in hope that his new found skill disappears. He then rushes to his old psychologist for advice, who makes him see that his talent can be used to his advantage, he could be the first man to actually know what women want. His first victim is Darcy Maguire (Helen Hunt) the women who received his promotion a few days earlier. He steals her ideas to further his standing in the eyes of their boss, not knowing what it could do to their future relationship.
Review
This movie is a great chick flick. It's not meaningful or deep, it's just a light and fluffy movie for a Saturday night with the girls. This movie is mainly directed at the female sex, but that isn't to say that males won't or don't like it, many do. It was a unbelievable plot line, but irresistible to miss a moment of. The ending seemed to be somewhat a disappointment compared to the rest of the movie. The movie did include many good scenes with smart remarks, and many good insults toward Mel Gibson. Other scenes I found corny or sappy, but the movie gave an overall heartwarming impression. The movie was pretty good, and just makes you feel warm inside like a most fluffy and enjoyable movies should.
