This is a shot of designer Darcy Maguire (Helen Hunt). She struts into town stealing the new management position that was practically guaranteed to Nick Marshall. She has great ideas that she can't express in words throughout the movie, which Nick helps her out with, but takes the credit for too. Darcy feels a strong attraction to Nick, possibly because he can read her thoughts, and possibly because he's Nick, we never find out but it doesn’t last long when he finally confesses the truth.
